The Maine PTA is the largest volunteer child advocacy organization in Maine.

A not-for-profit organization of parents, educators, students, and other citizens active in their schools and communities, the PTA is a leader in reminding our state of its obligation to children. Membership in the Maine PTA is open to anyone who is concerned with the education, health, and welfare of children and youth. The mission of the PTA is...

To support and speak on behalf of children and youth
in the schools, in the community, and before the
governmental bodies and other organizations that
make decisions affecting children; and

To assist parents in developing the skills they need
to raise and protect their children; and

To encourage parents and public involvement in the
public schools of this nation.
